What Is Speed Keto
What Is Speed Keto ?This is a digital program created by Dr. Harlan kilstein.
Speed keto is a hybrid program that combines a traditional ketogenic program with intermittent fasting.
Despite the popularity of the ketogenic diet, I do not recommend it because of its very low carbohydrate intake,
Usually 20 to 50 g per day, which is difficult to do.
Ketogenesis remains focused on trapping the body in ketosis (i.e., the body uses fat rather than sugar as fuel), and speed keto uses a dietary regimen similar to traditional ketogenesis: high fat, moderate protein, low carbohydrate.
Intermittent fasting is the practice of fasting for a few hours, so feeding is restricted to specific hours. Typically, fasting was continued for 16 hours and food intake was restricted to 8 hours.
Those who participated in the program had only one meal a day, a low carbohydrate, moderate protein, high-fat meal.
I can’t see what is the benefit of this diet. First, in this way the eating plan is often unsustainable and difficult to adhere to long term. The potential psychological side effects of rapid ketogenesis also cannot be ignored
The long-term effects of a high-fat diet are unknown. Initially, they were created for people with epilepsy, not for everyone to fit;
If one of your fitness goals is exercising muscles, following a ketogenic eating plan may be a barrier you can’t cross. The main source of body energy is carbohydrates, without which it makes strength training more challenging.
Many experts agree that the ketogenic diet is difficult to maintain, especially socially.
There are no long-term studies on the effects of ketogenic diets, and there is no evidence that ketogenic diets are more effective than low-fat or low calorie diets in the long term.
I think the greater problem with ketogenesis is the lack of nutrient rich foods such as fruits, whole grains, legumes, and other fiber containing foods.
The only way to lose weight is to reduce calorie intake.
I’ve written here about the dangers of keto diet
